Rare Shines was started because of a simple feeling — the kind you get when something good happens and you wish you could keep it.

Not the big, planned occasions. The real ones. A good day with my sister. A quiet hour with my mum. A laugh with a cousin, a moment with my partner, a small win of my own I wanted to remember. The kind of moment that comes and goes before you've had a chance to hold onto it.

Because we live in a busy world. We're always running — work, life, the next thing. The time we get with the people we love is precious, and the moments of real happiness inside it are rarer than we'd like to admit. You might share a minute, an hour, a day, a month, a year, a decade with someone. However long it is, the moments that truly shine are few. They deserve to be kept.

So I wanted to make something that catches them.
